Jimmy C. Chow, M.D., is a fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement surgeon, with a focus on soft-tissue preservation and rapid recovery. With advanced training in hip and knee arthroscopy, plus total joint replacement surgery, he provides comprehensive care for a wide range and severity of joint disorders, including:
  • Micro invasive total hip replacement, SuperPATH
  • Hip resurfacing
  • Hip arthroscopy
  • Less invasive patient-matched total knee replacement
  • Partial knee replacement
  • Knee arthroscopy

Dr. Chow is one of only five surgeons in the world — and the only surgeon in Arizona — to routinely perform the SuperPATH tissue-preserving hip replacement surgery procedure. Dr. Chow has been heavily involved in the overall development of the SuperPATH procedure, which combines two tissue-sparing techniques, PATH® and SUPERCAP™, for minimally invasive total hip arthroplasty. Dr. Chow has successfully performed more than 200 SuperPATH procedures, and is helping to train other physicians on this new hybrid micro-superior technique. He has submitted research based on his extensive experience, which is pending national peer review.

Dr. Chow received formal training at the New England Baptist Hospital, part of the Harvard Caregroup in Boston, Mass., where he completed the Otto E. AuFranc Fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery. Dr. Chow also completed a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery from the Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon, Ill.
